Lil’ Buds Day Camp
We believe our youngest Lil’ Bud campers (ages two, three, four, and five) have a powerful urge and curiosity to learn about themselves and the world around them. The best opportunities for learning come from socialization, exploration, and discovery all of which are highlights of our established summer camp program. This is why our “Little Buds” have their own unique and designated program to provide a developmentally & age appropriate program in a safe and nurturing environment. This well-balanced day camp program provides campers with the social, emotional and physical stimulation that is essential for this age group. Our mature and caring staff is a nurturing group made up of adults who work in the child care field, college students and some teenagers. In many ways, because of the unique developmental and social needs of our Little Buds age group, it is like a separate camp entity. However, our youngest (and cutest campers) are a big hit with the older campers when they are out and about campus making it a wonderful community of campers ages 2-14!
Meet the Directors
Ms. Ashley & Miss Jen
Ms. Ashley is returning for her 7th year of helping to direct our adorable Little Buds. Having already spent 8 years working with this age group in the summer camp setting, Ashley’s educational preparation began when with her degree Elementary and Early Childhood Education degree from Bucknell University. She is currently teaching at the Center for Student Learning Charter School. When Ashley is not having fun with Little Buds you can find her coaching girls’ softball for one of three programs which she is actively involved in.
We are excited to have Ms. Ashley continue in her leadership role of Little Buds. You can email Ms. Ashley at LittleBuds@CampConcepts.org
Miss Jen is excited to begin her 2nd year as assistant director in Little Buds (although she has been working at Little Buds as a Lead Counselor for the 2-3-year-olds for 8 years). This year, she will continue to work as the Lead Counselor for the 2-3-year-olds in addition to her role as assistant director. Miss Jen graduated from DeSales University in 2015 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree from Wilkes University in Early Childhood Literacy. During the school year, she is a full-day kindergarten teacher at a private school where she has been teaching for the past 4 years.
When not teaching or working at camp, Miss Jen can be found traveling, going to graduate school, going to the beach, and camping with her family. She is excited to begin another summer of camp, see old camp friends, and meet some new camp friends.
