We were very honored to be voted BEST IN BUCKS camp for 2020. When the pandemic hit, we spent a great deal of time considering how we would manage the health and safety of our campers and staff with so many unknowns and concerns. Ultimately, we made the determination that we could operate camp safely under the guidelines given. We were among the 30% of area camps that chose to operate. It took a great deal of time, attention, and money but we are proud to say that after 9-weeks of camp we had ZERO cases of the virus among our staff and campers!
The pandemic impacted our global community. We were not able to host our Chinese students and we had to cancel our Teen travel trip to China and Inner Mongolia. It also impacted our friends in Ethiopia. For 5 years now, Camp Concepts has embraced a community of children at AERIE AFRICA orphanage. Although dealing with our own pandemic issues here, our community of families still rose to the ocassion and we were able to share our love in the amount of $4,470 donated to the children at Aerie Africa. These funds were very much needed to continue the full care and education of the children cared for at Aerie. We won BEST IN BUCKS not only because of our high quality camp program but because we have built a community of families who understand that camp is about creating memorable & meaningful moments that happen here and can be extended globally.
